The photograph has been taken looking east, towards Greygums Road. Penrith City Council purchased land in Cranebrook in 1963, releasing it in 1982 as a new subdivision which they called Mt. Pleasant. The name Mt Pleasant reverted back to the name of Cranebrook in the 1990s.
