Memory Park

McManus, Norah1930s
Archives
Memory Park, located on the corner of Woodriff Street and High Street, Penrith, was opened in July 1922 as a tribute to the soldiers who fought in World War One. The park used to house a rotunda , seven honour tablets and two large trophy guns, a 4.5 Howitzer and a trench mortar, seen here. The rotunda was demolished in 1972 and the guns removed when the park was redesigned.
