John Blaxland's grant, Mulgoa Forest was located on the western side of the Nepean River and he built a crossing over the river using stones and logs. In 1896 this more substantial bridge was built, later to be replaced in 1966. The Wallacia Hotel can be seen in the background, left. The postcard was published by Valentine's.
