Opening women batsmen, 1951 first test, Scarborough, England

Pictured are Joan Schmidt and Amy Hudson. Amy Hudson was a fast bowler, but generally regarded as an all rounder. She made her cricket test debut in the third test of the 1934-35 series in Melbourne. She then toured with the 1937 Australian team but only played in the final test. Her last test was in 1951 although she continued to play cricket in Sydney. At one time she was living in Penrith.
