Glenmore was built by Henry & Frances Cox in 1825. The property produced wheat crops and orchards, however by 1851, due financial difficulties, Henry was forced to sell Glenmore to Thomas Sutcliffe Mort. In 1854 it was sold to James Riley who refurbished the home and added the southern wing. In 1904 Glenmore became a select school for young ladies. In 1927 a Sydney syndicate formed the Glenmore Country Club. The Glenmore Country Club was renamed Glenmore Heritage Valley after redevelopment in 1993.
