The pictureseque Lewers Bequest & Penrith Regional Art Gallery began as a pig farm on the banks of the Nepean River. The original home built in the early 1900's was bought by Gerald and Margo Lewers along with 10 acres of fertile land containing at that stage just a few tress in the 1940's.
