The 1986 brutal gang rape and murder of Anita Cobby outraged our nation - none of us can or should forget this tragic event - The Anita & Beyond exhibition launched this week at the Penrith Regional gallery and Lewers Bequest aims to educate and celebrate a special life lost - The murder of Anita Cobby had a defining negative image of Western Sydney and a profound impact upon the identity of Australia as a whole, says Dimity Mullance, Media and marketing manager of the Penrith Regional Gallery and Lewers Bequest - The Anita & Beyond exhibition is on display at the Penrith Regional Gallery until April 27 - Photo by Peter Veith. The exhibition aimed to educate and to celebrate a life lost. According to Adam Cullen: Art isn't about shutting down dialogue - art is about opening dialogue up, even when it's messy and distasteful.
