Combewood was built in 1890 for Francis Henry Woodriff in 1890, on land granted to Captain Daniel Woodriff in 1804. It is still occupied by descendants of this family. It is a restrained and elegant English Queen Anne villa and retains much of its original detailing both internally and externally.
