This ambulance station was designed by T.W. Hodgson and built by E.T. Olsen. It was built in 1936, on land donated by Frederick Jones. The original station included a garage, first aid room, and staff facilities on the ground floor, with a four-bedroom residence on the first floor. The old station features decorative features typical of the 1930s.
