Mike Tierney from the Orchard Hills Action Group (OHAG) is a man on a mission - Along with other local landowners, he would like Penrith City Council to allow one-acre subdivisions of large land-holdings - Recently, he showed 270 letters, each signed by a local land owner, pledging to support the OHAG's drive for subdivision - Mayor of Penrith, Greg Davies, said the council was 'well aware that subdivision is irreversible and we have an obligation to support the city's agricultural activities' - He said Planning NSW discouraged further rural residential or large lot urban subdivision in the Sydney Basin as it was an inefficient land use.
