Concert and Dance - At St Marys

Articles
On Saturday night last, the concert and dance, postponed from the previous Saturday, eventuated in the R C Schoolroom, St Marys. The affair had been arranged in aid of the bazaar fund, and must be considered a financial success, despite the unfavorable weather, and the risk incurred by the postponement. Opening with an overture, there followed vocal items, piano duets, violin solos, comic items, vocal duets. One duet, 'They Brought Her Warrior Dead', given by Miss Doyle and Mr Hall, was one of the evening's best vocal items, the two voices blending together nicely. Following the concert, the hall was quickly cleared, and the dancing section of the audience remained to 'trip it' for about an hour.
