Guard Edward Edwards was doing a fellow employee a good turn by relieving him on a goods train last Friday night. As the train left Blackheath station Edwards, who had got off the train, attempted to jump back into the rear van, and fell. A special train was prepared to send him to Penrith. Report of the inquest included in the article.
