James Johnson was charged with working a mare, on 21 April, with a sore shoulder. Pleaded guilty but said that the sore on the horse's shoulder was not larger than a shilling piece. Constable Sykes deposed that the horse's shoulder was in a bad state. Fined 20s and 5s 6d costs or in default 7 days in Parramatta Gaol.
