Community Fire Units (CFUs) will be set up in St Clair and Erskine Park - Penrith Council wants to start new units in urban areas to stop a repeat of the Christmas bushfire disaster - The council has written to the NSW Fire Brigades asking them to consider setting up units in these two areas, as well as Emu Heights, Emu Plains, Leonay and Glenmore Park.
