Juvenile Temple

Articles
Account of entertainment, in aid of the prize fund, held in the Penrith Temperance Hall. There was a good attendance to witness a rather lengthy programme, in which the chief contributors were children, members of the Juvenile Temple, assisted by friends. The concert items and their performers are outlined here. One recitation, 'What a Little Child Can Do', was given by Ada Douglas, whom the chairman described as 'parhaps the youngest and one of the best reciters for her age in town'. In the course of the evening A C Ward gave a short address in which he urged parents to take a deeper interest [in the Temple], inviting them to visit the Lodge occasionally.
