Students of Penrith were given the opportunity to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for our country during WW1 at an ANZAC ceremony conducted at Penrith Paceway just before the conclusion of the school term - Organised by the City of Penrith Sub-Branch of the RSL, students from primary and high schools in the area attended the event on Tuesday, April 6, but this was not the only opportunity local children had to commemorate our diggers - An ANZAC march was held on Sunday, April 18 where members of local sporting clubs, girl guides and scouts joined members of the RSL as they made their way down High Street, meeting at the memorial in Memory Park - The offical ANZAC service was held on Sunday, April 25 in Memory Park with a dawn service commencing at 5am - Lest we forget - Photo.
