'I'm passionate about Australia and how we all live within its vast surroundings. My visual storytelling is inspired by the everyday people and landscapes I encounter on my adventures'. In this celebration of Australian landscapes and interiors, photographer Kara Rosenlund explores the notion of shelter - what do we gather around ourselves to make a home and how does the landscape shape our living spaces? Kara travelled all over the country to seek out authentic, appealing and intriguing Australian interiors and documented them in her trademark honest and poignant style. With a focus on regional and rural Australia, her love of the 'beautiful and tired, rambling and crumbling' ensures this is a book full of character and emotion. Detailed captions illuminate the stories behind the people and places Kara encountered.
