This report was complied as a result of a development application to make modifications to Emu Hall to make adaptive use of Emu Hall as a restaurant, the construction of a function centre, commercial kitchen and associated works. The key objective of this photographic archival recording is to create a permanent record of the site prior to any changes being made.

Emu Hall was built in circa 1852 by James Tobias (Toby) Ryan. Other subsequent owners are Canonbar pioneer John Brown, and local business owner and sheep farmer William George Magrath and his family, who sold it in 2003.
