Assault on Fort Bennett

Sadler, Fenton2017
Large Print
In 1866 Colonel Thomas Sykes, late of the Confederate Army, is in Milledgeville gaol waiting to be hanged. But he is unexpectedly pardoned and freed on the condition that he helps find and rescue the president's niece, who is being held by a band of stagecoach robbers. The task proves to be far from straightforward, and Sykes will soon find himself caught in the middle of a fierce battle between comancheros and a troop of US Cavalry.
