Large Print
The body of a young woman is found in a seedy apartment, courtesy of an overdose of the toxic heroin mix that's blasting death across Central Asia. The post-mortem reveals curious abnormalities - but before Inspector Akyl Borubaev has the chance to launch an investigation, he runs afoul of Mikhail Tynaliev, Minister of State Security. Suspended from duty for alleged crimes against the state, Akyl is framed as a heroin smuggler who killed the young woman to keep her quiet. After an attempted assassination of a prominent minister goes spectacularly wrong, Akyl becomes a fugitive from his former colleagues and involved with one of Kyrgyzstan's most dangerous criminals. On the run, caught up in an illegal scheme that can only end badly, it's time for Akyl to take a stand for everything he believes in...
