Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, a maximum-security facility established in San Francisco Bay in 1934 and designed to house some of the country's most notorious criminals, quickly gained a reputation as the most feared prison in America, considered to be inescapable. But on June 11, 1962, three Alcatraz inmates - Frank Morris, and brothers John and Clarence Anglin - succeeded in breaking out of 'The Rock', sparking a manhunt on a scale never before witnessed. Despite the vast resources poured into the hunt by the FBI, United States Marshals Service and other law enforcement agencies, the three men were never found, presumed to have drowned. Follow the nephews of the escaped Anglin brothers along with retired US Marshal Art Roderick as they search for answers to their family's very public mystery, and also explores a groundbreaking new lead that could change the course of history. Did the Anglin brothers pull off the most daring escape in American history, and survive?
