Interview recorded with Flo Rolfe about her time as an employee at the Balgay cannery. Flo talks about starting work at the factory in the early 1950s as a seasonal worker peeling and cutting fruit, sorting and working with the the fruit for canning, working with the peeling machine, peaches, apricots and pears. Flo's mother worked at the factory when Flo was a child (1929) - peeling and processing was done by hand, what the factory was like at that time. Flo talks about working the process lines, working in the packing room (stitching the boxes together with wire stitches), working with the corn machine for sweet corn, working as a forelady.
