Summary

Spirit is a magnificent stallion, raised in a wild herd, becoming its leader. Pursued and captured by the Cavalry, Spirit is put to work but his will and independant nature cannot be changed. Escaping from the Fort, he finds a home with an Indian tribe, falling in love the beautiful Rain. Although the Cavalry continue to hound the stallion they are ultimately unable to tame him.
