This is a song by Bob Brown, author of Give Me a Home among the Gum Trees, about the exploits of a Big Bad Bushranger. On the run from the law he hides his loot in a cave on a hillside. Known as the Terror of New South Wales, he rides the countryside on his big black horse holding up banks and scaring the locals.
