The Bilbies of Blissis set in an idyllic Home for Old Bilbies, as seen through the eyes of timid Biba, who has scrimped and saved for many years so that she could move to Bliss. At last she has her own room, and settles into the comforts of her new home. She loves the beautiful rose garden, the summer house and croquet lawn, but the beauty of Bliss is only on the surface. Biba soon discovers that Bliss is not the happy place she thought it would be. The old bilbies are intimidated by Matron's strict rules and unforgiving attitude. Then the outspoken Nina arrives. By resisting Matron's rules, Nina shows Biba and the other bilbies that a true home is one in which you can live with compassion and dignity. They find the courage to instigate change with dramatic and unexpected results.
