Books, Manuscripts
Set in rural Australia in 1930, Audrey Goes To Town follows the adventures of a young girl called Audrey and her family as they leave their outback homestead and travel to the tiny settlement of Beltana. There, Audrey and her younger brother Dougie are left alone with a strict old lady called Mrs Patterson as her father and brother go off dingo hunting and her mother is taken ill at the hospital. Audrey meets many of the townsfolk, young and old, and learns a lot about life and relationships in a rural town in 1930s Australia.
