This document is a guide to integrating climate change impacts into risk management and other strategic planning activities in Australian public sector organisations. The purpose of this guide is to assist Australian businesses and organisations to adapt to climate change.

Developed as part of the Australian Government's National Climate Change Adaptation Programme, which is addressing the need to prepare governments, vulnerable industries, communities & ecosystems to manage the unavoidable consequences of climate change.

Describes the climate of Region 5, the Sydney region of NSW. The Sydney region extends from Lake Macquarie southward to Garie Beach on the coast, thence inland to the Shoalhaven, Wollondilly and Colo Rivers.
