This heritage study was prepared as an archival recording for the redevelopment of the site. The house was a four-room cottage with a verandah at the front. The property was an orchard.

This cottage, listed in the Penrith Council Heritage Study as MV7 is noted as having local significance. The building is associated with the development of the Mulgoa Irrigation Scheme.

The subject of this report is a small timber amenities building in the western portion of the railway yard associated with Penrith Station. State Rail propose to demolish the building.
