The barracks was situated in High Street. The barracks also became a Police academy from 1948 to some time in the 1950's. The land was later redeveloped for the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre and the Penrith City Council Civic Centre. The photograph was taken from Penrith Plaza.
