Slime School with Mess It Up

Who: 5-10 year olds
When: Tuesday 8 July | 2-3pm
Where: Penrith City Library
Tickets: $10. Book a ticket for every child attending.
Are you ready for a gooey, squishy, and colourful adventure? Join us for Slime School with Mess It Up! Learn about the ingredients and the science behind slime-making and then make your very own slime from scratch including colour and fillers. Create your own personalised jar to store it in. Kids will learn how to blow bubbles with their slime, as well as some fun tricks.
Due to space requirements, we encourage carers to wait outside for the duration of this activity.

Mr Bamboozle's Magic Show
Who: 3-12 year olds and their families
When: Wednesday 9 July | 10.30-11.30am
Where: Penrith City Library
Tickets: $10 per child attending. Parents or carers may accompany children free of charge.
Mr Bamboozle gets a lot of requests from audience members such as “Can you make someone disappear?” (not allowed to anymore) “Can you make gold coins come out of your nose?” (really – that’s gross) as well as more reasonable requests such as “Can you defy the laws of physics?” (yes) and “Can you cut someone in half?” (yes).
There's something for everyone in this interactive ‘You Choose the Magic’ show that is sure to delight and enchant children and grown-ups alike.
Book tickets for children attending only. Parents or carers attend for free.
The Bee Squad with Dr Judy Friedlander

Join author Dr Judy Friedlander for this interactive talk about her book ‘The Bee Squad' and participate in some fun activities.
Learn some ways you can boost biodiversity in your neighbourhood by creating your own garden to attract pollinators, starting a school or community environmental campaign, writing letters to your neighbours to create a street biodiversity garden and much more!
Come and Try - Programmable Robots
Who: 8-14 year olds
When: Tuesday 15 July | 10.30am–12pm
Where: William Garner Room, St Marys Library
Tickets: $10. Bookings are essential for every child attending.
Come and have some fun with our Library team as we experiment with our programmable Fable and Sphero robots. Build your modular robot from the ground up and create a unique code to have it complete a task of your choosing.

Comic Book Workshop with Christof Bogacs
Who: 8-13 year olds
When: Wednesday 16 July | 2-4pm
Where: Peter Goodfellow Theatrette, Penrith City Library
Tickets: $10. Bookings are essential for every child attending.
Write and illustrate your own comic book complete with cover in this workshop with Christof Bogacs. Go from no comic experience to making your very own four-page comic.
Learn the basics of structuring a compelling story and how these principles are applied to comics. Discover how sequencing images changes their meaning as well as how to use panel gutters and page-turns to maximum effect.
Christof Bogacs is a comic book author, video game writer, and public speaker. His short comics have been published by DC Comics, Image Comics, and in the Ringo award nominated ‘Dead Beats’ anthology from AWBW as well as the Eisner award winning ‘PanelxPanel’ magazine.

Bungarribee Wildlife Workshop with Sydney Zoo
