By the death of Mr Joseph Stanton, which took place at his residence, High Street, on Tuesday, Penrith loses one of its most estimable citizens. He was born in Castlereagh, lived in the Nepean district all his life and gained by his communal activities, his affability, and his blamelessness the valued friendship of many. He is survived by his second wife, two sons and six daughters.
