As part of Earth day last Thursday, Telstra urged Penrith residents to drop off their old mobile phones in the recycling bin at their local Telstra Shop and Penrith Mayor David Bradbury (pictured) quickly showed his support - Telstra Country Wide are general manager Justin Melton said around 10 million defunct mobile phones sat in drawers and cupboards nationawide - Phones and batteries dropped off to the Penrith store wil be melted down and recycled into new products such as furniture and new batteries - Photo.
