Cavalry uniforms of Britain and the Commonwealth including other mounted troops - a Blandford Encyclopaedia in colour. 96 full colour illustrations with a further 100 pages of explanatory notes on the head dress, uniform, accoutrements and weapons. The illustrated examples date from 1742 through to 1953, ninety two of which are are shown with their equine "mounts" - the remaining four comprise three camels and one tank. The authors are eighth-generation members of the family that created Wilkinson Sword, suppliers of weapons and accoutrements to the sovereign and regiments of the British Army.
