Cowra on the Lachlan is the history of settlement at Cowra Rocks since 1815. At a crude crossing across the Lachlan River, a conservative community strove to establish a settlement in spite of the vagaries of the restless river. It is also a story of the courage of the individuals who settled the distant outposts of the colony.
