Study Area - Site 9: Western portion of Lot 104 (Ninth Avenue Llandilo) granted to Captain John Houston in 1805, 1818-22 land swap between Houston and William Faithfull, 1828 Toby Ryan's family living on the property, later William Ransley and Rope families, 1887 William Pitt Faithfull to Henry Montague Faithfull known as Jordan Hill, 1909 transferred to Mary Elizabeth Single, 1911 Single to Frederick William Jackson, 1927 Jackson to Reginald Cumming Watt, 1941 sold to Frederick Charles Pye then resumed by Commonwealth Government in October 1941 and July 1942, in July 1941, C J Paul offered the buildings on portion 104 to the Government,1956 Miss E E Jackson living in a cottage known as The Glen and was running cows on the property, In 1955 Jackson's property of 237 acres was acquired for the munitions factory Site 14 and 15 Dumble's houses within portion 110 and 121 on the Northern Road, Dumble's old house on Portion 110, Dumbles new house on Portion 121, before 1857 it was known as Castlereagh Common, 1857 granted to James Tobias Ryan (Toby), 1858 sold to James Joseph Kernahan (wife was Margaret Reddan), 1881 transferred to son James, 1882 sold to wealthy pastoralist John Brown, by 1901 mortgaged to Australian Joint Stock Bank by James Clayton, 1939 Ellen Mary Smith to Frederick Dumble, Site 16 Mrs Smith's house site Lot 108 Northern Road, pre 1857 was Castlereagh Common, in 1857 the land was granted to Henry Belford/Bedford and known as Summer Hill, 1897 passed to his daughter Caroline Belford McGarritty, information on the McGarrity family, 1919 sold to William Belford McGarrity, 1821 sold to Alice Maud Ashbury, 1930 sold to Ellen Mary Smith (wife of Cornelius Smith), 1941 purchased by the government, 1942 tenant was Mr Yapp, 1969 area known as McGarritys/McGarritty's Hill
