Contextual history - documentary evidence - significance of plant species - analysis of documentary evidence - maps and photographs - flow chart of ownership for Craithes - Craithes was built by Joseph Single in 1884. He named his home Cassola. It was built on William Neate Chapman's land grant Lambridge which had been sold to John McHenry in 1829. 25 acres were sold by McHenry family to Joseph Single in 1861. Property passed to Kate (Single) Waldron in 1889. During the ownership by Alexander Burnett in the 1930s the house was renamed Craithes.
