The Southern Sudanese Women's Project (SSWP) was established in 2005. The project was established with the objective of meeting the needs of the growing Southern Sudanese community in the Penrith Local Government Area. A coalition of community, local and state organisations facilitate programs on a five day basis to assist clients with settlement process. A four day program is facilitated by the Mamre Project, where free child care and transport to and from the facility is provided. The additional program day is facilitated by Nepean Migrant Access. A benefit analysis had been conducted to meet both client and stake holder need. Research into how client needs could be further meet and recommendations for future programs was a significant component of this investigation. However due to the signiificant obstacles faced throughout the research process, projected outcomes were not wholly achieved
