This statement of environmental effects accompanies a development application for a proposed 300 inmate minimum security correctional centre on the site of the existing John Morony Correction Centre (JM1) at the Northern Road, South Windsor. This report addresses all matters required for consideration under Section 902(1) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 and related legislation, and incorporates assessments of traffic impacts, archaeological impacts, flora and fauna impacts (including the implications of the Threatened Species Conservation Act, 1995), stormwater management, utility services, landscaping, geotechnical suitability, flooding and the like.
