This book is an illustrated tribute to the men who fought in WW1 and their families, inscribed on the honour boards in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Dulwich Hill. It is a worthy contribution to social history of Sydney, particularly the Inner West. One of the soldiers was Doctor Isaac Manly Barrow who worked at Nepean Hospital and was an alderman with Penrith City Council.

Issac Manly Barrow worked for the AAMC during World War One. He received the rank of Captain. After the war he was employed as a doctor at Nepean Hospital in Penrith from 1919. He completed his Masters of Surgery at the University of Sydney in 1921. He was appointed Government Medical Officer, a position he held until 1941. After that he continued as a senior medical practitioner both in the hospital and in his own rooms in 288 High Street Penrith. He was awarded an honorary life membership in August 1962, by the board of the Nepean Hospital in recognition of 47 years of service to the hospital. He was also an alderman with Penrith City Council from 1936-1938.bibliography: page 154.
