In 1889 a remnant of the Dharug people were 'given' some of their traditional land as a small reserve on the Hawkesbury River north of Windsor and in 1901 a mission station was established there. Based on archival research and oral history this book presents the story of that isolated community up to the death of its last member in 1943.
