A spin-off from the original PG site, started in 1971, the Australian site provides information on ebook readers, and the various software products or ways to read the free ebooks available from the site, plus links to other sources of freely available ebooks or ebook products. Some of the supported portable devices include Amazon Kindle, Palm, PDA, Plucker, Sony Reader, Iliad, Pocketpc, Blackberry, handheld device, PC, HanLin, Cybook, iRex, epub, and ereader. Site users can select or browse via author or title options arranged alphabetically or from links to more popular titles directly. The titles available are only written by authors who died before 1955 and whose work is in the public domain, i.e. no copyright.
