Thirteen year old Tony Thompson loves all things ghostly and ghoulish - especially vampires. So his parents take him on holiday to a castle deep in the Black Forest where legend has it, vampires once existed. Tony thinks it's the coolest place ever - and it's about to get even cooler. Rudolph Sackville-Bagge is a teenage vampire who has escaped capture by the fiendish hunter Rookery and taken refuge in Tony's room. No longer does Tony need to imagine life as a vampire - he's living with one! During the day, Tony hides Rudolph in a coffin-sized trunk and at night the pair takes to the skies, flying through the forest and beyond. It's awesome fun, until they discover Rookery is hot on Rudolph's trail. Now Tony must do all that is humanly possible to fight Rookery and save his immortal friend.
