The first film in Wisdom's hugely successful slapstick series finds him working in the stock room of a large London department store and dreaming of becoming a window dresser. An ever lovable victim of his own clumsiness, all Norman's efforts result in chaos of the highest and most hilarious order. That is, until he meets spunky shopgirl Sally Wilson, the girl of his dreams. Together they discover a plot to rob the store and set about foiling the robbers the only way they know how.
