Workshop held to ensure that the methods for the identification and assessment of the cultural values of forests were in accordance with, and developed upon, the leading edge of heritage research in forests. The workshop looked at what was then best practice in the fields of identification, significance assessment and management of the cultural resources of forests, as well as exploring what people saw as avenues for further development of the field, and potential pitfalls.
