The 'College, Orth and Werrington Creeks Catchment Floodplain Risk Management Study' involved a detailed assessment of the flood risk across the catchment. This included quantifying the risk that floodwaters pose to people, buildings, vehicles and other properties within the catchment, as well as the potential economic impact of flooding. The plan is the culmination of many months of investigation, analysis and flood modelling which has been supported by valuable contributions from representatives of the Floodplain Risk Management Committee, community of Penrith and Penrith City Council.
