Agriculture

Articles
This article contains extracts from the annual report of the Department of Agriculture for the year 1898. The report itself is most voluminous and exhaustive, dealing with not only every branch of agriculture, but detailing all the operations and results of the various experimental farms. In conclusion, the article states that 'it is gratifying to know that agriculture in this colony is making rapid strides, and its importance to the prosperity of the country is fully recognised and being accorded its just due'.
