A decade ago Penrith Community Aid (PCA) was delivering more than 11,000 hot dinners annually to the area's elderly and infirm- This year the number will be closer to 17,000- The state Community Services department last week confirmed it would no longer subsidise PCA for more than the 70 meals it has on its books- Department area manager Mary Bell, confirmed the funding would remain but would not increase.
