A donation by Penrith Combined Churches has relieved pressure on both nurses and patients at Nepean Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - The churches have bought a $2000 floatation mattress for ICU - ICU nurse unit manager Veronica McCartan said the mattress had panels which deflate and inflate, varying the pressure on a patient's body, and so preventing bed sores - Photo.
