When English born Barbara Cooper started a new job at Penrith City Library in 1973, technology was limited to one electric typewriter and one photocopier - Three decades later, and the library is home to 120 computers and a range of State of the Art technology for the public - Barbara said it is the constant changes that have made the job exciting, when she was regonised for her service of 30 years at Council's regular meeting on Monday night - Mayor Greg Davies officially recognised the librarian, whilst Deputy Mayor Jackie Greenow also congratulated her - It is a great credit to the library staff that so many stay on a long term basis - they are obvoiusly a great group of people who get along very well, she said.
