Articles
On Tuesday last the new pumping station was formally opened by Mayor Michael Long, in the presence of Ald Vine, Ald Dunkley and Mr C Heyward, representing the Penrith Council. When the new viaduct was erected it was found necessary, in order to make provision for the traffic over the new bridge now in course of construction, to fill up the old well and tunnel and put down new conveniences for the Council for pumping the water for the Penrith water supply.
